A jam session where the goodness is in the detail, the vibe, the sharing, the empathy - our policy is that the loudest musician has to be hearing the detail of the quietest musician, for the best balance, the deepest flow..... we like to hear the vocalist's expression in all its fullness.
With a full PA, drum kit, bass and guitar amps, piano and mics, with congas and percussion and monitors and helpful sound crew, this session has built a solid reputation over the past couple of years, for exquisite and expressive jams.
Featuring spoken word, song and instrumental breaks with the house band alternating between The Jazzy Ron Funk Group every 2nd Saturday and Vibe Machine every 4th Saturday.
Musicians change places, the vibe grows and grows...

Exepct wonderful poetry, marvellous music, and a lorrra love. You wonderful poets and musicians can sign up for an open mic slot on the night. Half of the slots are up for grabs online and half on the door. We'll have anything wordy; be it poems, songs, plays (not full length obvs), monlogues, rants etc.
Slots are about 8 minutes maximum. Keep the vibe peaceful, respectful and let that take you somewhere and experience something.

The Scrap is a budding initiative designed to showcase bold and adventurous new writing from London’s theatre scene. Playwrights put forward their developing work, actors and directors join the fray, and together they workshop excerpts rapid-fire for your communal delectation.
It’s a tasting-platter of what’s happening on the scene, a celebration of innovative new voices in theatre and performance, and a chance to come together creatively to share ideas and passions.

Rock & Robots is hosted by Tolerable Music & Robotics, every 2nd Sunday of the Month!
Rock & Robots is a monthly hybrid gig/robot combat night at The Others in Stoke Newington, London. Taking place on the second Sunday of each month, each night has a slightly different musical vibe but the same core theme of "watch the pros, then have a go yourself" - cheer on professional roboteers and then drive their robots in the arena, then witness some indie talent and have some stage time in the post-gig open mic/jam.

The Yes Mess - Open Mic is hosted by The Yes Mess, every 3rd Thursday of the Month!
Formed by songwriter Danthedan - The Yes Mess is a rock and roll band that contains three bass players. Fortunately, one is contained behind a drum kit and another behind an acoustic guitar; the tallest actually plays the bass. Add to that: An idiot-savant accordion player, some dancing with flamingos, and a bumble bee of electric guitar.
So bring your instruments, share a story, make some magic, do your do... and sign up for the open mic
